More Information

This kicking or bucking strap lies over the horse's rump and attaches at each end to the carriage shafts. Tried, tested and endorsed by our carriage driving team.

Manufactured to Zilco's usual exceptional standards this kicking strap will serve for many many years showing the least wear and tear whilst being exceptionally easy to clean and maintain.

It is fitted with stainless steel quick release fittings on each side for safe, easy removal  in case of an emergency

Using a bucking strap?
A bucking strap may be required when a horse has shown a tendency to buck in the carriage either in excitement or napping. Firstly, you should consider whether in this case, the horse is suited to driving. If you believe this is a short term problem then a bucking strap may be appropriate. The purpose being to interrupt upward moving to prevent the horse getting into a bucking spree. It can't completely eradicate bucking but should prevent the horse from getting high enough to get into serious difficulty by either putting a leg over a trace or the dashboard. It should be used with caution and under professional supervision.
